May 2019 – ECC News

Our Purim Family Program was a great success! Dressed in costume, our ECC children listened to Purim stories followed by singing all their favorite Purim songs with Miss Karen Kern. The children loved when it was time to boo the name Haman. At the end of the music concert, we had a costume parade and then hamantaschen (which they had made earlier in the week in science with Ms. Linda Kram). Each family also took home a Mishloach Manot bag from Kol Rinah synagogue.

It’s hard to believe that it is already the time of year again when we are preparing for Pesach, teacher appreciation week, Starfish class graduation, and summer camp.

Teacher appreciation week will be celebrated the first week of May. To show thanks to the teachers for all that they do day in and day out for KRECC children and families, teachers will be treated to a delicious breakfast sponsored by the PPO and showered with gifts throughout the week.

Starfish class graduation and breakfast will take place on Friday, May 17. Our graduating class will sing songs they learned in music this year and also share a special performance that they have been working on in their creative movement class. We also will have a moving-up ceremony for our Penguin class, as they get ready for their
Pre-K year.

After graduation, we will gear-up for Summerpalooza! During our summer program led by Mrs. Christine Walsh and Ms. Megan Judge, children will explore 5 different mini-camps – Cirque du Kol Rinah, Fairytale STEM, Under the Ocean, Above the Sky and Everything In Between, Edible Engineering and Summer Palooza Spectacular. Throughout the summer, there will be water play, tie-dying, special programming, as well as field trips for our two oldest classes. It’s going to be great!
